Storm Within

 

The smell of a wind borne storm

on its aerial approach, the whip song

of the screens announcing a gusty 

intrusion, slumbering catalyst for a 

chemical fragrance of forces to come.

 

Drama makes its way in a ritual stir 

of the senses, thoughts wake up 

for a test of nerve, a trial of wits you 

observe in nature's bitter struggle, 

metaphor of the storm within you.
