Open Mouth Night

 

I tune in, turn on my inner musician

Differentiated Pan piped orphan of my

Own making, brass-lipped amphora of

Mute inner being, full of sputter and

Saxophone’s brief element of euphoria, 

My resonant spittoon and mental waste

Basket of internal motivation, vibe and

Wavelength, lost for words, denoting 

An entity of chilling presence, stomach

Breathing, abdominal snowman, frost

Fingered from midwinter woodshedding,

But stiff upper guadiamus ligature and

Medium loose reed make for a ball

Room only personality, spectacle of  

Myself, glazed over with hypnotic ham,

Held over at hell’s Polka dot lounge

And hangover induced dysphoria,

Dialogue only in earshot of hideous

Boogie lyric and hum ditty-doo-wah.
